
From 6:30 to 7pm local authors and illustrators (published and pre-published) can try out up to 800 words of their new material and then read a favorite picture book from another author of their choosing. It’s like open mic night for authors and illustrators. On Wednesdays, we are hoping to host PB&J’s: Picture Books and Jammies. So, come draw on Thursday and show/sell it the next day at the Art Walk. We are also happy to display customers’ work as part of the Phinney Art Walk on first Fridays of each month. If you like to dress in costumes and can hold still for up to twenty minutes at a time, consider working as a model. Small lockers for personal materials are also available to rent by the month.ĭabble is hoping to host monthly model (clothed!) drawing nights on first Thursdays - one day before the Phinney Neighborhood Art Walk. Flat files are available for rent on a monthly basis. All works left longer than one week are at risk of being repainted and recycled into other works of art or thrown out.

Paint sample packs also be purchased “by the palette” from the Dabble vending machine. You may also want to check out Seattle Recreative (8408 Greenwood Ave N) just a few doors down for a great selection of used art supplies. One month may include watercolor, another might include charcoal pencils, or sumi inks, oil, watercolor, acrylic, casein, home-made egg tempera, markers, pastels and many others. Supplies for the medium of the month are also available to purchase.

Free samples of supplies may be available on a limited basis. Student grade paper and drawing pencils are always included with admission. *Imagery on previous layers on recycled canvases may show through. You only buy it if you want to take it home. Alternatively, you can work with a “recycled” (i.e. Paper and canvases are available to purchase from our repurposed newspaper boxes.

Dabble offers a limited range of acrylics, oils and watercolors from our vending machine. You can bring your own supplies or buy from us.
